A chair from a mountain chalet, brought back seventy years later. We first made this type of chair in the late fifties for hotels and mountain lodges. Its requirements were practical: it had to withstand daily use, perform in damp and cold interiors, and remain light enough to move easily with one hand. The cutout in the backrest served as a handle; the robust construction was built for longevity. Nothing was added without purpose.
Designers Vrtiška & Žák returned to this original logic and refined it for today. The backrest is slimmer, the edges softer, and the seat shaped for greater comfort during longer sitting. The chair feels lighter in the room while retaining the strength and practicality of the original — including the familiar cutout that still works exactly as it did decades ago.
The chair is crafted from solid oak, with the seat and backrest shaped using five-axis CNC milling to achieve deep, precise curves without laminating or veneering. The oak comes from local certified forests, from trees grown for 80 to 100 years. The wood is treated with an oiled surface finish using natural oils and waxes. Darker shades are ammonia-fumed, allowing the colour to develop within the wood itself rather than sitting only on its surface.
Wood surfaces: Use a dry or slightly damp soft cotton cloth; avoid microfiber, which can damage oiled wood. Clean spills immediately. Use our Care package to maintain the finish and dry the surface after treatment.
Designer
Roman Vrtiška & Vladimír Žák graduated together from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and became part of a new generation of Czech designers with a broad creative scope. Their work spans architecture, product design, and graphic design. Among their many projects, they designed the HRIB tables, which contributed to a nomination for the Czech Grand Design Award in 2018.
Their portfolio also includes a variety of designs, from the VETVA shelves and the timeless LUNA clock to the challenging task of creating their own chairs.

In most cases we rely on our proven standard range. Any custom design is subject to a feasibility assessment. Our broad expertise has enabled us to deliver complete interior fit-outs for both residential and commercial spaces in recent years.
Products such as chests of drawers, chairs, and TV cabinets are delivered assembled. Beds, tables, and coffee tables are delivered unassembled. However, their assembly is very simple - usually only four screws are needed (see installation). The products are packed in five-layer paper carton with special corner protection.
We are happy to arrange assembly and installation for you with our own professional team, who will take care of delivery, carrying, assembly, and of course cleaning up all the packaging and so on.

SketchUp does not support FBX files by default. There are two main options to work with FBX models:
1. Using a plugin
The easiest solution is to use an importer plugin like Simlab FBX Importer, Skimp, or Transmutr. For example, after installing Simlab FBX Importer from the Extension Warehouse, you can go to Extensions → Simlab FBX Importer → Import and choose your FBX file.
2. Converting the model
If you prefer not to use a plugin, you can convert the FBX file to a SketchUp-supported format like GLB or OBJ. Several online converters allow you to do this — simply upload your FBX file, wait for the conversion, and download the result.
You can then import the converted file into SketchUp. Textures are usually preserved, and the model scale should be correct. If the model appears too large, it may have been converted using millimeters as base units — in that case, scale it down by a factor of 1000.
